Key 8: Are you saved? Great Question!
Anyone ever ask you this? It’s an easy thing to know, but can be hard for people to believe.
Start here: Do you want to be a sinner or a saint? If you choose saint, and believe it is God’s will for you (because Jesus already died and rose from death), then you will be saved.
This is your mustard seed of faith. God promises He will give you everything you need for salvation… starting with faith.
But what is it you are being saved from? Hell? Punishment? Sin? Sickness?Death? Being a bad person? Of course! All this and much more…
You are being saved from the fallen thoughts produced constantly from a darkened soul. You are being saved from the lies that say you can’t be holy, blameless, above reproach… in God’s sight. You are being saved from the world’s wisdom that you have to earn your goodness, reputation, and value.
When you believe and receive the righteousness of Christ as your new identity, God transfers you out of the darkness into the kingdom of LIGHT! All your thinking can now be directed towards heaven.
All your thoughts can be anchored in joy… knowing you are born again of God as his beloved child!
If it is difficult for the righteous to be saved, what will become of the ungodly and sinners? (1 Peter 4:18)
Although you have not seen Him, you love Him… [because] you believe in Him and rejoice with an indescribable and glorious joy. For you ARE RECEIVING the salvation of your soul. (1 Peter 1:8,9)
Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. (Romans 10:17)
