The truth is, we all must confront our self-righteousness in order to combat the cycle of generational abuse.

Whether estrangement is forced upon you or self-initiated, the seed of self-righteousness is the driver.
We must approach family ties with a new understanding of the Image of God in man, and see ourselves outside the bounds of familiar family labels.
Jesus called these labels “demonic” earthly ways of thinking, and said we must not be astonished that “EVERYONE must be born again to see and enter the kingdom”.
