“The invisibility of these harmful sibling dynamics… the tendency to mislabel such behaviors as rivalry [which is] considered temporary and harmless… along with the shame and stigma associated with incidents of family violence, has made addressing this public health issue challenging.”

The hidden link between sibling bullying and child trafficking…
In January we launched our 3rd Nationwide Digital Billboard Campaign for one of the most serious social justice issues of our generation… Human Trafficking.
What does sibling-on-sibling abuse, aggression, bullying and rejection (SAABR) have to do with human trafficking? Everything!
We recently had a conversation with a longtime volunteer staff person who works for a local anti-trafficking organization in Lee County Florida. She said:
“You wouldn’t believe how many older brothers sell their younger sisters into trafficking.”
While that’s a horrifying statement on its own, a much more common overlooked reality seeds the rejection that drives children into human trafficking.
In October we shed light on research proving that children impacted by SAABR will more likely become victims (or victimizers) of adolescent dating—or domestic partner—violence.
Adolescents are often groomed for sex trafficking by perpetrators who test their victims’ “traffickability” through their reactions to dating/romantic aggression. Young people who do not allow themselves to be mistreated by boyfriends/girlfriends are not considered easy targets for traffickers.
But adolescent survivors of sibling bullying and rejection are less likely to resist or reject dating partners who show aggressive dating behaviors.
Since SAABR is normalized, ignored or denied in most families, its child victims lack understanding to resist aggression from peers and dating partners.
Sibling Abuse Forever Ended continues highlighting the critical need for positive sibling relationships to keep our children SAFE. We’re doing this by first educating parents, educators and institutional leaders about the devastating outcomes of self-righteousness in social and family dynamics…
Awareness is Top priority in preventing the #1 form of child abuse.

2025 safe Out-of-home advertising Man of the Year
Congratulations to Mr. Steve Raper, General Manager of Link Media Outdoor’s southern Missouri region office, as our inaugural OOH award recipient.
Steve generously shared with us his time, expertise and strategic insights into both the static and ever-growing digital billboard PSA world. He helped us increase our vision substantially, moving us from our initial goal of 20 static billboards to over 1,000 digital billboards across the nation.
We wholeheartedly thank Steve, a true servant leader and humble expert, for his influence, generosity and consistency in supporting SAFE’s mission to forever end sibling abuse.
october is a big month for making safe families.
October is both National Bullying Prevention and Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Sibling abuse spans both of these huge problems… all within targeted children’s homes.
Traditionally domestic abuse has only been defined as a problem between adults… but what happens when violence in the home is directed at a weaker sibling by a stronger sibling?
Research shows children bullied/abused by older siblings are 3 times more susceptible to peer bullying outside the home.
Victims become more susceptible to dating and romanticpartnerviolence as adults. It’s a terrible double-whammy for vulnerable siblings.
Help us spread the word that sibling bullying is a type of domestic violence in the home that devastates the lives of targeted siblings!
