#safesiblings October 2025 Nationwide Digital Campaign across 39 states and counting

october is a big month for making safe families.

October is both National Bullying Prevention and Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Sibling abuse spans both of these huge problems… all within targeted children’s homes.

Traditionally domestic abuse has only been defined as a problem between adults… but what happens when violence in the home is directed at a weaker sibling by a stronger sibling?

Research shows children bullied/abused by older siblings are 3 times more susceptible to peer bullying outside the home.

Victims become more susceptible to dating and romantic partner violence as adults. It’s a terrible double-whammy for vulnerable siblings.

Help us spread the word that sibling bullying is a type of domestic violence in the home that devastates the lives of targeted siblings!

You WILL make an impact

Our work starts by putting these two words together—“SIBLING ABUSE”—in the consciousness of families across America.

With tremendous generosity from people like you, our billboards achieved 1,050,000 impressions in 2024, our first year of operation.

Our goal is 50,000,000 impressions across 46* states by 2028. If you are a billboard owner/operator, we welcome your support. Contact us to learn more about how you might be able to collaborate with our 2025 phase 1 national billboard campaign strategy.

*(Alaska, Hawaii, Maine and Vermont do not allow billboards.)

OOH yeah… we are stronger together!

A big thank you to our tremendous team of OOH advertising PSA partners.

2025 safe Out-of-home advertising Man of the Year

Congratulations to Mr. Steve Raper, General Manager of Link Media Outdoor’s southern Missouri region office, as our inaugural OOH award recipient.

Steve generously shared with us his time, expertise and strategic insights into both the static and ever-growing digital billboard PSA world. He helped us increase our vision substantially, moving us from our initial goal of 20 static billboards to over 1,000 digital billboards across the nation.

His insights helped to further stretch our knowledge and capacity to produce three nationwide campaigns per year.

If that wasn’t enough, he worked quickly to exceed our expectations for a static board within our first-year startup budget. After securing a high-performing billboard for us in the heart of the nation on Route 66 (I-44), he diligently worked to ensure it would be installed by Christmas 2024 during challenging Midwest winter weather. This key billboard has garnered over 5,500,000 impressions (and counting), becoming our longest standing and best performing static billboard.

He generously gave his time, decades of experience and strategic insights in the OOH space. Furthermore, his diligence and collaborative heart helped us secure a 1-for-1 match with a key nationwide digital billboard provider, and helped us identify additional affordable key static locations for 2026.

We wholeheartedly thank Steve, a true servant leader and humble expert, for his influence, generosity and consistency in supporting SAFE’s mission to forever end sibling abuse.
