Key 9: Receive the kingdom

Seek first the Kingdom and his righteousness… and all these things will be given to you as well. (Matthew 6:33)

Is is a bird?  Is it a plane?  Is it Superman?  Nope.  It’s the supernatural power of God’s love and light shining all around you. 

But where’s it coming from?  According to Jesus, the Kingdom of Heaven is not in a building.  You can’t go travel to it and find it.  The Kingdom is “near… here… at hand… within”…

Near what?  Which hand?  Within who?  Cheerleaders please:  Give me a Y…. give me an O… give me a U…  what’s that spell?  YOU! 

But we have this treasure in clay jars, so that it may be made clear that this extraordinary power (in us) belongs to God, and does not come from us. (St. Paul, 2 Corinthians 4:7)

Whaaaa???  Yeah. And knowing this power lives in you makes you really humble.  He’s the King of it all, and He gave it all to you. 

So you can chill, and just receive everything He put in you to save the world.

Now there are varieties of gifts… utterance of wisdom… utterance of knowledge… gifts of healing… working of miracles… prophecy… discernment of spirits… tongues… All these are activated by One and the Same Spirit who allots to each… (1 Cor. 12:4-11)

Pursue love and strive for the spiritual gifts, especially that you may prophecy. (1 Corinthians:14:1)

Well then, does God supply you with the Spirit and work miracles among you by your doing the works of law, or by your believing what you heard? (Galatians 3:5)
