Key 10: You say… But I say
This is part 3 of The Language of Hell.
People say all kinds of weird things about God: “He gives and then takes away.. He causes harm in order to heal… He doesn’t want to heal everyone…
But do they really know what they’re talking about? Do they even know him. It’s probably a better idea to actually know him first, before we start putting words in his mouth.
Jesus said you will know him through his actual words (and deeds). What are some things he said and did regarding sickness or death or disease or natural disasters?
But I say to you, be healed…
PEACE! BE STILL! And immediately the storm ceased…
Do not be afraid…
Do not fear what they fear…
Be still and know I am God…
I do choose. Be made clean!
Those who believe in me, even though they die, will live…. And everyone who lives and believes in me will NEVER DIE. (John 11:25,26)
They brought to him all who were sick or possessed with demons… And all who were sick were healed.
You say the girl is dead, but I say she is only sleeping…
Do you understand what Jesus wanted to demonstrate? The power of God’s LOVE!
People say, if you steal from me or hurt me, I have a right for justice. But Jesus says, do not ask for it back, and give the thief even more, and do good to those who abuse you.
He didn’t tell you to do this so that they’ll maybe stop hurting you… but so that they’ll be convicted in their consciences that they’re being ridiculous, and then ask you how they can be transformed and become like you!
Some would say Jesus often prefers not to heal… and they use the example of Lazarus dying. But why did Jesus “allow” Lazarus to die? To show that he didn’t want to heal him? NO! Rather to show everyone that we must die to be born again. Something that seemed impossible to the intelligent and educated leaders…
The suffering you (and everyone) experiences from the devil-induced fall of man allows GOD to produce more LIFE in us. God isn’t screening your suffering because He wants you to suffer. He allowed Himself to suffer, so that by believing in His Goodness, you could have life INFINITELY MORE ABUNDANT.
We’re in a war with a liar. He’s the father of lies and he wants to destroy you by getting you to believe his lies. The devil wants to steal your trust of God’s goodness by tricking people into thinking God did the things the devil actually did.
Trusting God’s goodness is the prize the enemy wants to take from you. Never let him have it by staying fixed on the Language of Heaven!
